Google has committed to creating 300,000 jobs in South Africa by 2030 through its new R2. 5 billion Cloud region in Johannesburg and skills development initiatives. The tech giant projects over R90 billion in economic output for the country, as South Africa battles one of the world's highest unemployment rates at 31. 9%
