In 2025 a new class of the ultra-rich has emerged: a group called the superbillionaires.
The Wall Street Journal has introduced 24 superbillionaires who each have direct personal residential real estate holdings of at least $50 billion (R933.17 billion), according to insight generated by Altrata.
Featured of the list are familiar faces such as Bill Gate, Warren Buffet and Mukesh Ambani.
Making up the list of the top five superbillionaires is Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, Lawrence Ellison and Mark Zuckerberg. All of these billionaires have an estimated net worth of more than $200 billion.
Four of the top five billionaires have key businesses in the technology space while Arnault is from luxury goods sector.
There are two families that are featured on the list including: the Koch family of Koch Industries and the Waltons from Walmart.
