An open letter on LinkedIn from a job candidate to a company that rejected him for a job role has gone viral on the platform with more than 100 comments and more than 40 reposts.
Ntokozo Mthethwa took to LinkedIn to express his disappointment after his job application for a Systems Analyst role that applied for with IT company Accenture was rejected.
In his letter, Mthethwa said: "I am disappointed by your decision as I would really love to join Accenture. As much as this is a loss for me but it is a Loss for Accenture too. With your decision not to hire me this is what you are eventually missing out on."
"I am experienced Operations Management Professional who will make an excellent System Analysts due to my extensive experience in diverse industries, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as comprehensive understanding of business processes and optimization techniques."
Mthethwa also listed some of his "key competencies and skills" including analytical skills, project management, technical skills and business knowledge.
He would go onto say that the while he did not have direct experience in Systems Analyst Role, he would exceed expectations due to his attitude and aptitude.
"I may not have direct experience in Systems Analyst Role but my attitude of always striving to be the best and aptitude to quickly learn, adapt, excel & continuously improve gives me confidence that I was going to exceed your expectations for this Role," Mthethwa said.
Rejection
In his LinkedIn post, Mthethwa also attached his rejection letter that he received from Accenture.
In response to his job application, Accenture thanked Mthethwa for taking the time to apply for the job.
"After careful consideration of your application against the requirements of the role, we've made the decision not to take your application further on this occasion," the letter said.
