DURBAN – Award-winning news anchor, broadcaster, author and moderator Redi Tlhabi and former president Jacob Zuma’s daughter Dudu Zuma-Sambudla have been embroiled in a Twitter war since Saturday night after Tlhabi alleged, in a video, that Zuma was a misogynist and sexist, following her past encounters with him.

In response to the video content, Zuma-Sambudla argued that Tlhabi visited her father in his Forest Town home in Joburg, where Zuma-Sambudla allegedly opened the door for Tlhabi. She also claimed Tlhabi followed Zuma to Genendendal in Cape Town. Zuma-Sambudla threatened to share more details about Tlhabi’s encounters with her dad.

Tlhabi denied going to Zuma’s Forest Town house and Cape Town since former president Thabo Mbeki's presidency. She also accused the former president’s daughter of being vile and dishonest “just like her father”.

Tlhabi did admit to going to one of Zuma’s homes, Dumbarton Residence, which was his official residence as deputy president where she interviewed him about being the Burundi mediator. According to Tlhabi, Zuma saw the opportunity to be “creepy and predatory”.
