South Africa is buzzing with excitement as international stars continue to flock to our shores. And let’s be honest, who isn’t excited about Chris Brown coming back to Mzansi?

The superstar is set to perform at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium on December 14. Meanwhile, local stars like Sir Trill are vying for the chance to open for him, sparking a lively debate among fans.

Brown has been a fan favourite in almost every province and his upcoming concert has already got everyone talking. But it’s not just the fans who are excited, local stars are also keen to share the stage with him.

Sir Trill’s wish to open for Brown has sparked quite the conversation. Entertainment blogger Musa Khawula took to X to share his two cents, stating that the obvious choice for the opening gig is Naledi Aphiwe.

Aphiwe, a singer from KZN, experienced a meteoric rise to fame after catching the attention of Brown.

In October 2022, Brown shared a video of Aphiwe singing on his Instagram stories, praising her "incredible" voice.

Khawula wrote: “With Chris Brown announcing that he'll be performing at FNB Stadium on the 14th December 2024, Sir Trill is asking to be his opening act as if everyone doesn't know that's Naledi Myongwane's gig.”

As always, X users were quick to react, with many weighing in on whether Sir Trill or Naledi should get the honour of opening for Breezy.

@Dr_Shiyaklenga wrote: “Cancel the concert we can't have our celebrities twerking for Chris Brown like this.”

@vusi_mygy commented: “Sir trill is not on that level surely K.O or Kamo Mphela can do better.”

While the online chatter continues, Sir Trill is busy preparing for other major appearances.

He, along with Heavy-K, will be performing and speaking at the 2024 Music In Africa Conference for Collaborations, Exchange, and Showcases (Acces) in Kigali, Rwanda.

Acces is a pan-African trade show where music industry players from across the continent come together to exchange ideas, discover new talent and create business opportunities.
