Chris Brown set Twitter alight both locally and internationally, when he tweeted about the idea of a creating a world tour that had R&B artists Beyoncé Knowles, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and himself sharing a stage across the world.

Just thinking.... A CRAZY WORLD TOUR would BEYONCE, RIHANNA, BRUNO MARS, CHRIS BROWN. “2 for 2”. And if y’all decide to do it without me... give me 10%. 😏

The 'Pills and Automobiles' hitmaker, who has set a record for having 87 songs on the Billboard charts all at once, divided South African fans on Twitter, with some believing that his idea could work.

There also fans that stated that with Brown’s current phase in his career was not worth another tour to South Africa, and others not wanting him to share a stage with Rihanna due to his sordid past with her.

Read:

Brown and Rihanna dated on and off between 2009 and 2011, where Chris Brown was charged with battery and assault on the ‘Kiss It Better’ singer, and handed a suspended sentence. Between 2016 and 2017, Brown was also handed a restraining order by his ex-girlfriend, actress and model Karreuche Tran, for acts related to violence, stalking and sending her threats.

Tweets made by South Africans made various arguments on the possibility of Brown’s tour coming to fruition, especially with a few tweets reminding the online community of the singer’s cameo appearance on local soapie Generations, back in 2009.
