Parents are choosing increasingly unusual names for their babies, with Blade and Bronte among the more quirky new names registered in recent months.
Mylo, Kofi, Spike, Kiki and Luna were among the other unusual names identified by Bounty, the organisation which provides support packs for new mothers, in its survey of more than 350 000 babies born in the past year.
Jack was the number one boy's name, for the 11th year running, followed by Thomas, James and Daniel.
