South African actor Jesse Suntele and his wife Thuthu Mokoka recently celebrated their son’s first birthday.
It was a bittersweet moment because while they celebrated Emihle, they were also reminded of Elihle’s loss, their son’s twin sister who they lost during the pregnancy.
“Elihle and Emihle turned 1 yesterday 16 December 2024. Hai maaaani [no man] God and our ancestors ke di [are] star[s]! The only thing that was missing was Elihle in the flesh but she was definitely there in spirit.
“What a perfect day. Our hearts and cups are overflowing,” Suntele wrote on Instagram.
What made the birthday even more special was that the couple has not forgotten about the other children they have lost and makes sure to celebrate the three of them.
When Emihle turned six months old, they bought two cakes for both of them.
The plot twist is that it was on Father’s Day and since it was Suntele’s first, Mokoka shared a heart-warming message, expressing how happy she is to have chosen him as the father of their children.
“Happy 1st Father’s Day my life. You are the father of my dreams. You are the fantasy I grew up with in my head of what a father and husband should be.
“You are everything and short of nothing. We are so lucky to have you in our lives. Pandora 👼🏾, Elihle 👼🏾 and Emihle are the luckiest to be able to refer to you as daddy,” she wrote.
“Today makes 6 Months since Emihle was born and I have fallen in love with you all over again watching you enjoy this new chapter. You are a perfect child to your parents and I just hope our kids are as great as you are.
“Dude, you are a father. Ntate Mokoka, a father of 3 beautiful children! I am so proud of you Baba.”
Meanwhile, their friends and family showered them with lots of love on their twins’ birthday and Suntele was over the moon.
“Guys, I don’t know how to put in words how amazing this woman is for putting this amazing day together.JJ is gonna [going to] grow up to the best memories because of you!
“Also … I had so much fun, this party was for all our inner children,” said the “Savage Beauty” star.
