Reality TV personality Nonkanyiso Conco, known to many as LaConco, found herself trending once more after making an appearance at former President Jacob Zuma’s 83rd birthday celebration in Nkandla.
Photos and videos from the low-key family gathering surfaced online, showing Zuma surrounded by his children and all his wives.
In the video clip, his children sang a birthday song, while another image, shared by @azania1023, showed the wives cutting his birthday cake.
But what grabbed the most attention was LaConco’s presence at the event, which quickly reignited public speculation about her relationship with Zuma. Again.
The social media post read: “All President Zuma’s wives celebrated his birthday in Nkandla, LaConco was also there…”
Although she has long separated from Zuma, the public continues to link her to the former president. On her podcast, LaConco was once again forced to set the record straight.
She made it clear there is no romantic relationship between them and that their current connection is rooted solely in co-parenting their son, Sakha.
“I’m not interested in Jacob Zuma romantically,” she said. “I respect him because of our son and the history we share.”
While some praised her composure and maturity, others were not as impressed. Social media reactions were mixed, with several users saying they were tired of hearing LaConco speak about Zuma, especially as it keeps resurfacing in her podcast content.
This isn’t the first time she’s spoken publicly about their situation. In a Q&A episode last year, "The Real Housewives of Durban" star told listeners that no other man would love her like Zuma did, and that the feeling was mutual.
However, she made it clear they were not together and were simply committed to co-parenting their child.
Despite her repeated efforts to clarify the status of their relationship, many fans feel she keeps circling back to the same topic. Others, however, believe she’s just trying to be transparent about a past relationship that the public won’t let her forget.
Whatever the case, her appearance in Nkandla has shown yet again that anything involving LaConco and Zuma continues to stir conversation.

Mzansi had quite a bit to say.
@NetEintlek went into full-on conspiracy mode and commented: "I don't trust laconco..something tells me she was given money to be an insider in the Zuma household..."
@Light_Kganya commented, "Oh, makes sense why Popi mentioned wife number 5, she must have referred to LaC."
While @RTmmane wrote, "Our girl is not going to heal as long as this man is alive."
