Once again Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s inauguration dance has become a talking point, sparking a whirlwind of reactions across the globe.

The new US president, who was sworn in on Monday, attended three inaugural balls with his family to mark the momentous occasion.

Starting at the military-themed Commander in Chief ball, they moved on to the Liberty Ball where he shared an "awkward" dance with first-lady, Melania.

They wrapped up the evening at Union Station's Starlight Ball.

At the Liberty Ball, Melania broke from her usual poker face as she walked onto the stage with her husband and smiled as they entered to the classic anthem “Hallelujah”.

As the dance began she forced a stiff smile and royal-like wave to the audience, but loosened up as the dance continued..

In a sharp comparison to the second lady, Usha Vance whose body language was relaxed and open, as she looked lovingly into her husband JD Vance’s eyes, Melania looked awkward and stiff.

Melania Trump chatted intermittently with the new president, and apparently whispered a heartfelt message to her husband, during the Liberty Ball, according to a lip reader.

Lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman told the UK Mirror, that during their dance at the Liberty Ball, Melania told President Trump: "Today is one we will never forget," to which the 78-year-old responded: "You're right, I'll learn, I'll fight."

Melania then expressed her support with the words: "I got you".

Trump reportedly answered: "We'll see. Will you control it? Less tricky, less pushing away?" To this, the First Lady said: "It's a no," and Trump acknowledged, "I hear you."
