Now celebrating a decade of empowering and enriching Africa’s greatest storytellers, MTF provides a 12-month industry-readiness programme. Participants develop hands-on skills in directing, producing, cinematography, commissioning, and more, all under the mentorship of top industry professionals.

“The MTF Academy is our commitment to the future of our industry and gives young Africans the chance to hone their television and film production skills through a world-class training programme,” says Bobby Heaney, Director of MultiChoice Talent Factory South Africa. “After so many successful years, we’re proud to announce a new call to entry and look forward to meeting the next generation of African filmmakers.”

A shining example of MTF’s impact is Gcinashe “Nash” Baruza, who appeared on MultiTalks in November 2024 and is now the Acting Commissioning Editor for Scripted Content at MultiChoice.
