Bottrop, Germany - A long time ago, Sheriff Buford Pusser advised us to talk softly and carry a big stick.
That's appropriate because Brabus has just handed Mercedes-AMG's C63 a very big stick indeed.
We're talking about a 441kW, 800Nm stick; that's 66kW and 100Nm bigger than even the uprated C63 S version from Affalterbach, and big enough to take it from rest to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds (two tenths quicker than standard) and on to 300km/h flat out.
The PowerXtra B40 - 600 engine tuning kit uses a plug-and-play 'piggy-back' auxiliary control module to rev up the electronic engine management system of the C63's four-litre biturbo V8, updating it with new mapping for injection and ignition while increasing boost pressure.
A new all-stainless steel sports exhaust system reduces back pressure and allows it to speak with authority, while a butterfly valves controlled by a switch in the cockpit lets you opt for a subtle 'coming home' mode for when discretion is necessary.
THE LIGHT STUFF
The clear-coated carbon-fibre aero kit, developed in the wind tunnel, is available in either gloss or matte finish, starting with an add-on front spoiler lip and including carbon-fibre trim for the side air intakes and air outlets in the front fenders, as well as a rear spoiler and diffuser.
The 20 inch Monoblock T rims on Brabus' demo C63 S are shod with 255/30 front and 275/30 rear rubber.
Interior upgrades are available from the Bottrop trim shop, ranging from backlit stainless-steel sill plates, ergonomic aluminium paddle-shifters and a 340km/h speedometer to a complete new interior in any combination of leather and alcantara synthetic suede, trimmed in wood veneer or carbon fibre.
