Golfers can now do much more with their handicapping cards following an arrangement between Nedbank and AST, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed group.
Under the new arrangement, golfers holding the Abraxas National Golf Network handicapping card can add financial transactions to their cards.
Cardholders have the choice of an internationally accepted MasterCard credit or debit card for transactions combined with the existing functionality of being able to record scores and access latest handicaps.
The new transaction capability offers golfers the convenience of no longer having to carry large sums of cash on a golf outing and reduces the number of cards in the player's wallet.
