Shopping for a home loan is now just a mouse click away following the launch of BondNet this week.

The idea is that you make your home loan needs known on the internet and the banks bid for your business. You will find an application form on BondNet's website www.bondnet.co.za.

The applications are forwarded to the participating banks which are FNB Properties, Saambou Property Finance, Imperial Bank and FBC Fidelity Bank.

BondNet will e-mail you the banks' bids.

Greg Dunsford-White, BondNet's marketing manager, says consumers can call for bids for new mortgage bonds, second bonds, as well as for switching their existing bonds to an institution which offers better terms and/or interest rates.

BondNet is a joint venture between business information provider, I-Net Bridge, financial company, Primevest and the Casey Group, which is a information technology company, as well as P&P Promotions, a public relations and communications company.
