Standard Bank is offering its customers a special package for access to internet banking and e-mail.

The internet package costs R49,95 a month, which includes the R18 monthly internet banking service fee currently charged by the bank. This gives you:

* Unlimited internet access to the Standard Bank internet home page;

* Internet banking; and

* A facility to send and receive e-mail.

If you want access to the worldwide web, there is an additional fee. You can buy unlimited access to the worldwide web for periods of a day, up to a month.

The single day rate of R7,50 gives you access for 24 hours, and you can buy multiple days.

Your other option is to buy 30 day access for R65.

Standard Bank is offering this package through internet service provider Icon, which provides support through its 24-hour helpdesk. Standard provides support for all bank-related problems at their toll free number 0860 123 000.

Another service offered by Standard Bank, known as Accessline Listings, enables you to search for properties online based on a specified set of criteria, such as magisterial district, suburb, price range and type of home. A list of properties matching the search criteria will then be displayed and details of each property, including a photograph, are available. You can also apply for a loan from Standard Bank online.
