Convenient location among benefits

In addition to the N2 national freeway, the zone has convenient access the M4 and R102. The area also benefits from its highvisibility location, upgraded road infrastructure and public transport access. There are sites available for development in line with tenants’ demands.

Labour

The densely populated area is home to labour skills and resources from senior management to unskilled workers seeking employment. Employees have access to public transport into the neighbourhood.

Infrastructure

There has been significant investment in transport infrastructure, including roads and lighting, as well as the bulk infrastructure for the sites. More broadly, the zone has sound national and provincial infrastructure, including upgrades and new interchanges on the N2 national freeway, railway access and the King Shaka International Airport.

Direct access to markets

Cornubia’s location gives companies direct access to markets, whether for local consumption within the burgeoning neighbourhoods along the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast or national and international markets via the King Shaka International Airport.

Live, work, play

The intention with developing a mixed-use environment was to ensure poorer communities had access to work opportunities, without the burden of longdistance commuting and expensive transport costs. The Cornubia housing component has already accommodated hundreds of families within walking distance of industrial developments, while the newly established Umhlanga Hills has brought more residential options to the market.
