The Titans closed out their first-class campaign after a commanding display against the Dolphins in Centurion, sitting back on Saturday as a near formality and waiting to lift the SuperSport Series title.
The Dolphins resumed their second innings at 81/7 in the morning session on day three, still 330 runs behind after following on.
Pace bowlers Ethy Mbhalati and Rowan Richards wasted no time in removing the tail, needing only 2.2 overs to bag the last three scalps as the visitors were dismiss for 86.
Mbhalati took 5/32, for a match return of 8/61, and led the charge to victory over the final two days.
Faf du Plessis and Heino Kuhn had both scored centuries in the Titans' only innings to lay the foundation.
Meanwhile, the Cape Cobras, leading by less than a point before the final round of matches, were left with a near impossible task after the Titans picked up 21.46 points.
Only 111 overs were possible in the first two days, and a mere 12 wickets had fallen by lunch on day three, with the Cobras needing to win their game against the Highveld Lions to challenge for top spot. – Sapa
