Johannesburg - SAFA president Danny Jordaan has urged South Africans to come out in their numbers to support the vision, the dream and the legacy of Madiba, during the forthcoming Nelson Mandela Challenge encounter between Bafana Bafana and Egypt.

The clash will take place at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday, September 6 at 7pm. “This annual tournament is in honour of one of the greatest icons ever to live in this world.

He is the proud Father of our Nation. We want the stadium to be packed as a tribute to such an amazing human being,” said Jordaan. He said in recent times most South Africans had seen the need to live the values of Nelson Mandela and through the NMC, the football world was living this legacy.

“Through this match, it helps us live this legacy because most of the proceeds go towards helping make a difference in the lives of our young children through the fund established by Madiba,” added Jordaan.

Tickets for the match are being sold for R80 at Checkers, Shoprite Checkers and all Computicket outlets.
