Bloemfontein - A 33-year-old woman has appeared in the Botshabelo Magistrate’s Court in the Free State on a charge of murdering her boyfriend, provincial police said on Tuesday.
Provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Fikiswa Matoti said Malehloa Mathota, who appeared in court on Monday, was accused of murdering 45-year-old Edwin Toli who was found stabbed to death in the house they shared in G-section in Botshabelo on Friday night.
Matoti said police were patrolling the area when they were approached by Mathota who told them she had had a fight with her boyfriend.
She led them to their house where police found him lying on the floor with stab wounds to his neck, stomach and chest.
Mathota was arrested on the scene.
Matoti said she would be back in court on Thursday.
