Before their flight, leisure and business travellers may reserve items from the inflight shopping selection of Lufthansa WorldShop online at www.LH.com/preflight-shopping.
About 180 premium products are on offer, from technology and entertainment items and exclusive cosmetic articles and perfumes to watches and children’s toys.
The free reservation of items may be made up to four days before take-off and is not binding. During the flight, guests may look at the products they have reserved and pay for them with cash, credit card, or Miles & More.
In-flight shopping gives customers the chance to examine the products before purchasing them and to seek advice from flight attendants if they wish.
Reinhold Huber, responsible for customer experience and innovation, says the service is popular. Reserving items ensures they are available on board. The service is offered on intercontinental flights and some European flights.
