IT is that time of the year again when travel fanatics will be heading to Travel Expo hosted by Flight Centre Travel Group. This year’s affair will take place at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on February 11 and 12, 2017.

Visitors will have the opportunity to receive fantastic deals from airlines, cruise lines, resorts, hotels, tour and adventure companies that will help ease the travel preparations. Nicky Potgieter, the marketing manager of Flight Centre, shares the reasons you should visit:

There will be a lot to be smiling about as the expo will offer up to 45% off international airfares, 40% off beach holidays and Buy One Get one Free tour options. Over 120 top companies – including Emirates, Air Mauritius, South African Airways, Beachcomber, Flight Centre Holidays, MSC Cruises, Top Deck and Club Med will offer once in a lifetime deals for travellers.

“The expo is South Africa’s premier travel exhibition with unmissable deals for both  local and international travel,” said Andrew Stark, the managing director of Flight Centre Travel Group. “Last year 20 105 visitors attended the expo, 21% up on 2015 with turnover increasing by 29% on 2015. We expect this year’s showcase to be even bigger and better. Anybody looking for holiday value simply must attend.”

2: Entrance is free

Don't worry about wasting your cash on entrance fees as it is free, This means that you would have more money to splurge on your holiday. Potgieter estimates that more than 25 000 people are expected to attend Travel Expo 2017. There will also be 90 experts on hand to offer expert travel advice on alternate foreign destinations, as well as answer all travel-related queries.

3: R650 000 worth of prices

Admit it, we all love a freebie once in awhile, and attending the expo could help you win your share of over R650 000 worth of prizes, including a car.
