German supermodel Heidi Klum admits she can't fit in her "favourite jeans any more" after gaining weight in lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 47-year-old German supermodel admits she has relaxed her exercise regime whilst isolating at her Los Angeles home with her family during the coronavirus pandemic and has allowed herself to indulge in her favourite foods.
Speaking to the Sunday Express newspaper, she said: "I don't fit in my favourite jeans any more.
“I've eaten a little more and exercised a little less than I normally would, so I'll have to step it up to fit back into them. Or I just have to get a bigger pair - and I'm fine with that as well."
Heidi insists she's happy to be a little bigger at the moment and has urged women everywhere to not compare themselves to other people, especially the images posted on social media.
She said: "Don't compare yourself to other people.
"If social media is making that hard, step away from it for a little bit.
"I also think that having a healthy relationship with food can help your self-esteem.
"For example, if I eat bad things I'll feel sluggish and then I don't want to do anything. But if I've had a good meal I feel fuelled and charged and I feel better about myself."
Heidi has four children, 16-year-old Leni, Henry, 14, Johan 13, and Lou, 10, with her ex-husband Seal, and she admits it's been a challenge thinking of new ways to keep them busy.
One activity they have been doing together has been growing vegetables together, but Heidi is sure that her kids are getting bored with eating their own produce now.
The catwalk star - who is married to musician Tom Kaulitz - said: "The kids are getting tired of eating squash now. I've tried squash bread, squash muffins, squash soup, roasted squash... It just won't stop growing."
Heidi has been abiding by LA's strict lockdown rules and has only left her home in the past few months to shoot “America's Got Talent”, on which she sits on the judging panel.
